Honest, ethical, kind, and loving
When I heard from my long time student/friend Stefanie Erlwein that she would be starting her horse business I was more than eager to support her. A few words I can confidently use to describe Stefanie and Jeff are, honest, ethical, kind, and loving of all animals. I have known Stefanie for over 10 years and she has never wavered from who I know her to be. She managed the care of my training horses each summer and always went above and beyond for their happiness and safety. Stefanie is one of the few people that I’ve seen work so hard and stay so organized while doing so. You can walk into her barn at any given moment and it will be immaculate and safe for any horse to live in. Her husband, Jeff is the same. Their relationship is strong and their vision is the same. He would never let a fence be down, a barn door be askew or a lightbulb out.
I am so grateful that I will always have Stefanie in my back pocket and know that I can send her any of my horses for her care. It’s never easy to send your beloved horse somewhere you can’t be near, but I can say with all my being that Stefanie will be your eyes and ears for safe care.

The decision about care for your heart horse is an incredibly difficult one to make. I knew when I made the decision for Luminescent to be a broodmare for a few years to get the time off that she needs, I needed to find exceptional, personalized, and detailed care in order for me to feel confident about this journey. I am so grateful that I found Stefanie and Jeff. From the moment I started messaging with Stefanie, I just knew this was the home for my big mama. Stefanie & Jeff know every detail about every horse on their property and love them like they are their own family. Stefanie has so much knowledge and is also willing to learn more to help me make the right decisions regarding all things with breeding Luminescent. I am so comfortable with Stefanie and Jeff that we expanded our partnership to also utilize their young horse program and the foundation they give their young horses is so thoughtful. Stefanie & Jeff are honest and hard working people and I can't recommend them enough. I met Stefanie three years ago when we both moved to the same barn at the same time. Stefanie helped me out so much when I struggled with my mare. When I finally made the decision to find her a broodmare home, and Stefanie said she was interested, I knew that she would be going to the very best home ever. I watched Stefanie get to know my mare before she became hers; she did an amazing job caring for her and I felt more confident than ever with my decision. I see that she is thriving in their care! Stefanie and Jeff love her as much (if not more) than I do. Having to say goodbye to my mare has become so much easier for me knowing how happy she is with them. I get regular updates and photos and I couldn’t have asked for a happier outcome for her. If I ever need to retire a horse, I would definitely send it to them to care for as I know it would be hard to find a better place.
